Padre Virginio Rotondi
In the Name of Clericalism is a short-film that was produced and directed by Joshua Oliver. It was very interesting to be part of this project. Playing a part completely in Italian was a great challenge. Having learned Italian several years ago but losing it over time for not practicing, I very much enjoyed the ability to get back into it by rehearsing and preparing the script.
This “ART-ivism” project by Red Jay was part of a guerilla art installation in London on Sat June 18th, 2022 to commemorate an event from June 1982 when the body of Roberto Calvi – dubbed God’s Banker – was found hanging from Blackfriars Bridge. Investigations linked his death directly to the Vatican Bank, the Mafia, and Propaganda Due, a clandestine Masonic Lodge.

Greed, corruption, exploitation, murder all laid bare. Yet no accountability. Not then, not now. Forty years after Roberto Calvi’s murder exposed corruption that permeated the upper echelons of the Catholic Church, the same thing is being revealed within the Vatican today. “What’s more, this corruption is seemingly everywhere you look, with the UK Government, Russian oligarchs and the US Republican Party being prime examples. “Through In the Name of Clericalism I want to bring all this further out into the open.”
Some more projects I was part of…
Feel free to browse at will through the projects I had the chance to be involved with. This section is constantly evolving and many articles are still a work in progress so be indulgent if the content is not yet generously garnished… I will get there eventually.
